Congratulations!
You have completed the course work.  Now you can begin to review for the final exam. There will be two parts:
Final Exam Part 1: grammar and writing: a grammar exercise, making sentences with vocabulary from the short stories and two paragraphs-one of the five kinds you studied and one related to your novel. (There are no essays)
Final Exam Part 2: Reading- one fiction passage, one poem, and one non-fiction passage with comprehension questions-multiple choice and short answers (in complete sentences.) Literary terms from short stories and poetry.

To prepare: review:
a) all the grammar
b) all the kinds of paragraphs we studied this semester:, description, process, comparison/contrast and persuasive;
c) the definitions of the elements of fiction: character, setting, plot and theme
d) the vocabulary from the short stories
e) the poetry terms
f) the poems
g) all your work and the feedback you received from teachers.
h) memorize Lucy Gray –one stanza

When you are ready to write the exam, let your teacher know.  Because the exam is in two parts, you do not have to write both parts on the same day. Good Luck!
